Bras for the Cause
The CDS East Bay Chapter was honored to host a donation booth for Bras for the Cause at our recent April Chapter Show at La Jolla. Bras for the Cause is a volunteer-based organization raising funds to eradicate breast cancer – especially through early intervention mammograms and screenings. In the Bay Area, the statistics for breast cancer are alarmingly high. Many of us have been personally touched in some way by this terrible disease, or some form of cancer.
This was a wonderful opportunity for the East Bay Chapter give back to our community and our members generously responded to the call! Many donations and ride dedications were made to Bras for the Cause through out the day, and several members were very touched and emotional, as announcements were made in Honor of a survivor of cancer, or in Memory of a loved one lost to this terrible disease.
Our Chapter Shows Chair, Robin Katherman, recently participated in their fundraising Mothers Day Walk and we look forward to hosting Bras for the Cause again!
