
Due to the recent rains, we regret that we have to cancel the CDS East Bay Chapter show for this weekend April 14 and 15.
Unfortunately, the facility will not be dry enough to provide for parking needs and ensure safe footing.
Per the show prize list, weather is a circumstance that is beyond show management’s control, and typically shows are not able to provide a refund to competitors as many of the costs of hosting a show are incurred well before the show. However, the CDS East Bay Chapter recognizes that our members face many challenges and costs when competing and is offering refunds for this specific show for entry fees; less the Office Fees, Late Fees and Mailing Fees.
The CDS East Bay Chapter shows, and the chapter itself, depend on the support of members and volunteers. These partial refunds are only possible because of fundraisers like the annual dinner and the large amounts of effort put in by volunteers. We thank our show committee, officials, facility hosts, and volunteers for making this possible. Fees not refunded will go to cover show costs already incurred.
If you are able, you may donate your entry fees to the chapter. Recognition of your donation will be sent as CDS is a non-profit organization and the donation is tax deductible. If you chose to donate your entire entry fee – please respond to this email by midnight Sunday 4/15. Otherwise, refunds will begin to be processed next week. (For those of you that entered online – decision being made regarding how refunds will be processed.
