Greenville Oct 2022 Wrap Up and Century Ride

Our local show season ended with some extraordinary rides, and a wonderful celebration at
Greenville Equestrian Center. Erika and Mitch Ibsen, owners of Greenville, hosted a delicious
homemade pizza party on Sunday to help celebrate our CDSEB Chapter member Laurie
Dainer’s Century Ride! Laurie rode her 31 year old gelding – What’s It All About (aka Archie) – at
T3 and received a wonderful score of 73.103%! Laurie said Archie isn’t all that keen on the
rigors of dressage anymore but he does love a good gallop on her home track in Danville.
Laurie, who trains with Kelly Casey, continues to pursue the levels with her younger horse.

Paloma David, owner of The Traditional Equestrian shop, hosted a popular wine and cheese
party for exhibitors and friends on Saturday afternoon. Paloma’s shop was open all weekend
selling the latest colors in clothing for both rider and horse. The expanded color palette of USDF
has opened the door for self expression and some truly beautiful coordinated outfits.

In addition to all the fun, there were many exceptional rides and two sets of Highpoint Awards
given on both Saturday and Sunday. Congratulations to the winners!

CDSEB and Dover Saddlery sponsored divisional highpoint awards for the weekend.
-Carmen Stephens on Fox, FEI level Highpoint, JR Team Test – 68.030%
-Sarah Mason on Kanjer, Training – 4th level Highpoint, Fourth T1 test – 74.487%

Greenville Eq Center’s Highpoint winners are:
-Saturday: Jaime Shortz on Bolide HSR, Junior/Open, Training T2 – 79.483%
Michele Deluna on Feron MBH, AA, Second T2 – 68.649%
-Sunday: Avery Brown on Namaskar EDI, Junior Open, Training T1 – 75.962%
