Victoria Von Arx
I’m pleased to be back involved with the CDS East Bay Chapter. I’ve been a member since 2004 and am a past Board Member. My riding background Western Pleasure, Competitive Trail Riding, Hunter/Jumpers, and now Dressage, where I’ve earned my Bronze and Silver medals. Forever a student of dressage, I have started the process of going up the levels again with my young horse under the guidance of Nick Onoda at Caldecott Stables. I’m looking forward to helping bring our chapter exciting educational and social events that support all levels and interests of our membership.
I have been a CDS EB Chapter member since 2003. Since then I have been an active board member for several years, as well as a volunteer and participant at many chapter events.
I have earned my USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold medals on my self trained horse. I’m a breeder of KWPN horses and own a small private horse ranch in Livermore. Currently I’m showing my 8 year old KWPN gelding
In Time DG at PSG. My homebred 3 year old Nyla EP is just getting started under saddle. She will hopefully be my next young horse to bring up the levels.
I am a life-long equestrian and long-time resident of the East Bay. I have been a member of EB CDS since taking up dressage in the early 2000s and served for several years on the EB CDS board. I have earned my USDF Bronze and Silver medals and look forward to showing again this season. In addition to my enthusiasm for riding and dressage, I work as an accountant and small business consultant. I look forward to using my business experience to assist in reinvigorating the chapter.

I have been a CDS East Bay member since 2016 and volunteering for the chapter since 2018. I am the founder/editor of the website Decidedly Equestrian, a website manager/content strategist/designer, artist and photographer. I took my first riding lesson at 25 and my first dressage lesson at 31, so I’m late to the game. I have earned my USDF Bronze medal and was Jockey Club TIP 4th Level Champion in 2018 with Brenda Beare’s Spice It Up. I train at Shiloh West with Brenda. Currently I’m showing 3rd Level with the quite large and in charge American Warmblood Jackaroo QRF.
I have been a member of the CDS East Bay chapter since 2008 and started volunteering for the Chapter in 2017. I’ve earned my USDF Bronze and Silver Medals. I’m a lifelong student of horses and am thrilled to share my passion with other East Bay Chapter members! My dance partner, Di Amour, and I train with Katy Barglow out of Wyvern Farm. My husband and I live in Danville with our 7yr old daughter, Keira (who has become quite the horse whisperer!) and 3yr old son, Connor. I work as a Realtor and am also chair of our HOA’s social committee. I am very excited to start organizing events for our awesome Chapter!
My experience is quite vast and most notably, most of it all resides within the East Bay! Most of my riding and training has been all in the East Bay. With over 40 years riding and training horses, I did manage to find time to raise two boys! My husband and I live in Livermore and I currently own and ride 2-3 horses and avidly compete. In my early years, I did three-day eventing, jumpers and was an avid Pony Clubber. I also did jumpers on the UC Davis equestrian team. I began training exclusively in dressage when I was 16.
General Board Member
I am a semi-retired lawyer and have been an avid horsewoman for 57 years. I’ve been lucky enough to have ridden and trained with some of the greats: Hans Moeller, Charles de Kunffy and Hilda Gurney among others. My riding background includes eventing, steeplechase, foxhunting, GP jumping and dressage. I got hooked on dressage after my son went to school and have pursued it ever since. I’ve been running my breeding business for the past 20 years and recently bought a property in the Tassajara Valley that I am in the process of developing into a training/breeding/rehabilitation facility.
I’m a USEF Interscholastic Athlete and a recipient of the USDF Youth Dressage Rider Recognition Pin. I’m incredibly lucky to say that I’ve been around horses almost my whole life. I’ve lived in the East Bay for eight years now, and I began my dressage journey four years ago. My horse Ivan and I are currently working on Second and Third Level. As a concurrently enrolled high school and college student, I’m always happy spending time with him because it’s my haven away from academia. I also have several younger sisters who compete in dressage, so I’m excited to be the youth representative for the East Bay Chapter. I look forward to encouraging youth participation and interest in the sport, for the future of dressage!
